Private Lessons

If you can’t make our public classes or would like to learn in a more intimate environment, you can book us for private lessons at your own home.

We usually offer these on week days during school hours and just need a place at a table* for each student and the teacher.

Private lessons are 2 hours long and you can learn:

Stage 1 - Braid Basics

Stage 2 - French and Dutch

Stage 3 - Crown, Waterfall and Dutch Braid Yourself

Combo - Dutch plus the bow bun and Rumi braid

Mixed Ability - We have experience teaching couples where one is a beginner and one is more advanced so we meet you where you’re both at and give you different tasks

We can teach adults and children together but, in our experience, find that a min age of Year 6+ (age 10/11) works best in terms of concentration, fine motor skills and getting the most out of it.

Pricing:

£130 for 1-2 people

£150 for 3 people

£180 for 4-6 people

Travel is charged at 45p per mile plus £10ph in the car from AL1 and back to your postcode.

*Please note that tables must be no thicker than 3.5cm to allow us to clamp the practice heads on. We have also used kitchen worktops/ islands/ garden tables.  Here’s a reel that shows the spec we need. If in doubt, sends us some photos.
